Greetings:
This past weekend we took a ride and saw a place which had the most
fabulous
tall red red flowers on a plant that looked something like a corn stalk.
This is still in zone 5, New York State.
Can anyone guess what this might be? It was so wonderful to see something
blooming so late in the season.
Also, does anyone know what would have attacked my veronica, so that
beautiful green plants wilted and never blossomed? The same thing happened
with asters, in a different location. Are these just prone to disease?
/ Can't speculate about what could have happened to them but, as for
disease, these two plants have been among the most hardy in my garden. I've
never seen any sign of wilt, nor do they seem to attract bugs.
