Confession time - No, I don't spray any insects, but I do squish them.  I take 
out my frustration and aggression from the job, day, life, whatever on the 
aphids, small slugs and snails.  Larger slugs & snails either get stamped on, 
flung into my neighbours garden without the aid of a parachute, or on a good 
day, put into our wheelie bin (large plastic trash can) for transportation to 
the dump.

I have big problems with vine weevils, probably sent to plague me in 
retribution, especially as I have lots of primulas and geraniums.

Gardening can be good for the soul in many different ways!

Hi Karen,
     
I also work organically, using composts and mulches, and 
spraying only when I see problems arising. I do not find 
that these problems are worse than gardens that are not 
organic. And there are far more earth worms.
     
do you ever spray the insects?
