Re: Killing weeds with fire?

This was a brand new container. :( The Ajuga actually seems to thriving
on it -- there are more now than ever before.

Went out and tried it just now, but I think it's too windy. The flames
are travelling faster than I want and the torch keeps blowing out. Will
have to try when it's a little more calm.

In the area that I did try it wasn't too effective -- the grass burned up,
but the other weeds weren't really harmed. I attribute it to the wind
moving the flames too quickly, though.

Guessing I'll have to spot burn certain weeds, then pull out the rest
when I turn the soil. Afterwards, as with any new bed, I'll turn in
some Preen to prevent all of the newly exposed seeds from germinating.

Am planning on buying a bunch of shade stuff from Munchkin Nursery to fill
in the area. :)

Was wondering who would say this first... :)

Great! What kind? Mine's just sitting there doing nothing still... :(
