Thanks, Val...I do have their catalog and I agree that their prices are
excellent and I'll check them out. What I'm looking for is a bit different
tho, often referred to as plugs or liners. They are bought in incremental
quantities of 100 usually and the flats are very large and the cells within
are very small. Vendors often buy them this way to grow on and sell retail
later on. They are available to the public, such as through Hortico in
Canada, but they're not easy to locate. Due to the enormous quantity I need,
I was hoping someone might know of additional sources. I think I heard that
Richters in Canada also sells plugs retail.
We recently created 3 large berms which we'll be covering with ground covers
in the spring. The estimated area is about 20,000s.f. and it would take a
long time to get good coverage using the normal separation between plants in
2"-4" pots plus the cost would be prohibitive for us. Erosion is also of
concern in the interim.
Thanks again Val and to anyone else who might have suggestions.
Joanie
