Re: Book titles

The Mohlenbrock series of the "Illustrated Flora of Illinois"is a series
of handbooks with the families arranged in alphabetical order with one
or more families per book. It has a key at the front of the book,
excellant drawings and a map showing which counties herbarium
collections were made for each species. SIU Press.

A favorite book of mine is "Jewels of the Plains" by Claude A. Barr.
"Wildflowers of the Great Plains, Grasslands and Hills". A pioneer in
the taxonomy and cultivation of wildflowers of the great plains, a
classic Out of print, but still available at 20% discount from NARGS
bookstore.

Of coarse "The Prairie in Vermillion County", a booklet about the
Westfall Prairie is interesting.

Do any of you people out there not have a prairie to plant? Is anybody
just interested in just learning to grow prairie plants? Is anyone
interested in trading plants?
