With our management goals, fire at this time is appropriate. The spring
weather this year has a lot to do with it. For example, if we had not burned
to eliminate litter at two of the sites, the wildflowers would have been
irreversibly damaged. The fire needs to be site specific, with consideration
to management plan in place.
