Hi Lee,

When I set up this list back in January, 1997 it was with the intent
of helping with everything prairie-related: increasing people's
awareness, providing a reference for restoration projects, management
   issues, and botany and ecology.

I think expanding that vision with an eye to the future is a Good
Thing (tm). Taking an active role in issues that will affect tomorrow's
prairies (not to mention today's) can only help.

As long as the coalition discussions are productive and aren't reduced
to name-calling, they could be a great addition to the list. One issue
though -- can anyone inject comments into the coalition's issues?
Or will they just talk amongst themselves with the existing list
members acting as silent observers? The latter sounds kind of silly
   and pointless to me.

Chris
