Re: dual listserves

So much stuff comes in on the NPSOT - NPAT listserve that it becomes almost
overwhelming at time. Most of the information is excellent and well worth
reading but it takes time to follow up and keep current.

So, for this reason I suggest that two listserves are not inappropriate, and
could be most useful if handled correctly. The prairie listserve was
established to deal with prairies and the Farm Program. This specific
subject is very big and complex. It will involve work on the part of the
members with Gov't agencies, without this it will be useless. Other
committments will be made with coorespondence to follow.

Consider the prairie listserve a special committee in the large realm of
prairies and native plants. Consider it an action committee with a specific
interest and goal. At times the discussion topics will not be of interest to
most of the other listserves as the technical details of applied practices in
the Farm Program are far from exciting.
Anyone interested in following progress with the actions of this committee
can sign up to be a member, then Email received with this heading can be read
with the foreknowledge of what it is about. Good ideas from any source will
be welcome.
