Re: Working w/other groups

I am a member of the Society For Range Management (along with several other
conservation groups), and I passed along info about our new coalition to the
national board.  SRM has a working group studying the Farm Bill already, and
the national board is very interested in forming a partnership with us so we
all have a larger voice.  Even though SRM members are more involved as a
whole with mid- and shortgrass prairies, lots of concerns have been voiced
about current Farm Bill provisions, especially CRP.

I have already officially been made SRM's liaison with the Prairie
Coalition.  The national board met last week in Denver, and the Farm Bill
was one topic of business.  I am to receive a copy of the results of that
meeting soon, and will pass it on.
