Re: Purpletop

Lloyd,

Have you tried FEIS?  It is the Forest Service Fire Information Effects System.
You can search for specific species of flora or fauna.  There is biibliographic
info as well.  I have found it to be a great help.

Good luck,  Caron

Does anyone know a source for information about purpletop (Tridens flavus)?
I am looking for more than just occurrence, what about the oily
inflourescense, how does it respond to fire, what limits its growth in open
prairie situations?  I am trying to gather information about this plant for
an article, and for personal information, but so far have come up rather
short.  I do have access to a university library, if some of the references
are not commonly available.  Any help would be appreciated.
