Re: Black locust


The "Flora of the Great Plains" lists black locust (Robinia pseudo-acacia) as 
native to the SE region of the Great Plains and infrequent to the north and 
west.  Listed habitats include "dry or moist open woodlands, stream valleys, 
pastures, thickets and roadsides".
