Good News

Feb. 28 ?  In a direct challenge to President Bush, Democrats and even a
few Republicans were
 introducing legislation on Wednesday to permanently ban any oil or natural gas drilling
 in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The move came as the president in his
 budget blueprint estimated U.S. royalties of $1.2 billion by 2004 from companies that successfully
 bid to develop oil and gas resources in the refuge.
