Forage at the Crossroads!

Just a reminder:  The American Forage & Grassland Conference is March
8-10, 1998 at the Adam's Mark Hotel, Indianapolis, Indiana.  The
conference is titled "Forages at the Crossroads" and is hosted by the
Indiana Forage Council.

There is still time to register!  Call the AFGC Headquarters at 1-800-
944-2342 if you have questions.  E-mail me for a registration form.
Please send a fax number if possible.

Reservations at the Adam's Mark Hotel can be made by calling 1-800-
444-2326 or 317-248-2481.  Mention that you will be attending the
American Forage & Grassland Conference to receive a special rate.
Hotel reservations need to be made before February 21st to receive the
special rate.

There is also still room for more exhibitors.  Please contact Keith
Johnson at 765-494-4800 if you are interested in an exhibitors booth.

This should be an excellent conference.  Some of the speakers include:
Sinclair Mayne, Northern Ireland Agricultural Research Institute;
Steve Clubine, Prairie Biologist - Missouri Dept. of Cons.; Brad
Joern, Environmental Specialist - Purdue Univ.; Jeff Volenec, Forage
Physiologist - Purdue Univ.; John Samson, Agronomist - WY Dept of
Trans.; R.L. Dalrymple, Forage Agronomist - Noble Foundation, OK; Jim
Gerrish, Forage Researcher, Univ. of MO and many more.

Some of the sessions include topics such as:  Forage Management &
Utilization, Forages & Wildlife, Economics of forage utilization, Soil
Fertility & plant nutrition, genetic improvement of forages, forage
quality & ruminant nutrition, pasture management and effective forage
education projects.

There will be four tours available:  1.  Indianapolis Zoo and
Reclamation with the Amax Coal Company.  2.  Indianapolis Zoo, Kelsay
Dairy and Claas of America.  3.  City tour - history and sites of
Indianapolis, IN.  4.  Children's Museum and CineDome Theater, Lunch
at the Brickyard Inn Restaurant and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Hall of Fame Museum.
