Re: Prairie Maintenance Costs - BURN COSTS

A while back I posted some cost examples to the Prairie group
and I have been remiss by not responding sooner. So......

The costs I used for the illustration came from North American
Prairies Company, and reflect their charges for this kind of work
in our area, west central Minnesota. Most of their work is in rural
area, so I can see why you are surprised by their costs.

I'm sure that if they were doing a burn on a corporate campus in the
Minneapolis metro area, their charges would reflect their cost for
increased insurance...etc.

Their installation cost are what they charged for restoration work done
on my 8 acres during the last 5 years.

If I have not provided a broad enough explanation as to where these
costs came from, please let me know and I'll try to elaborate more.

Thanks,

Rome Hutchings
