RE: vinegar and "weeds"

Not a rocket scientist here... or expert...but!

Every spring I stock up on vinegar from the grocery store at easter
time.. (on sale cheap)... On the first 80 degree day, I add equal parts
of vinegar and boiling water and pour it on the fence line. It kills off
the grass, weeds and what ever ... no weed whacking around the fence for
the season here. I think my ph there is so drastically changed from
doing this yearly ritual, nothing grows there. It does smell terrible
for a few hours. My mother has done this for as long as I can
remember... but she only applies it every three years. I have never used
it as selective weed killer. Appears to kill off everything in this 4+
inch path.

Found this thread today interesting, with all the real facts about it...
So no one tell my fence line that it should not work please.:)
