Haven't had much luck myself although I heard annual fire decreases
live mass eventually. I am also trying to plant only 5 or 6 of the most
hardy and aggressive natives. You will have more luck if you control
the area for several years before planting if you have the time for the
first several seasons--hopefully avoiding too much erosion. Also, if the
water level is relatively stable, more success you will have to introduce
a bigger selection of natives. Good question--I am interested in hearing
