Hi,
according to 'The Prairie Gardner' by J. Robert Smith, Babtisia
leucantha and leucophaea are bothe legume's, require scarification,
innoculation, and moist stratification for 10 days. He doesn't cover
any other Babtisia species, sorry. Perhaps these instructions will work
with all of them?

I have recently received seeds of Baptisia cinerea and Baptisia
perfoliatum from the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Alas, they
arrived with no germinating instructions. Can anyone help? Do they
need to be stratified or soaked, or both?
Best,
