Re: weeds

As you may know, there is also a ragged fringed orchid that is very similar. I
cannot tell the difference and the DNR folks who stopped by could not tell
either, although they believed what we have is the ragged fringed. Our land in
south central wisconsin was used for grazing up to the last three years. Last
year we found about a half dozen plants which we think are the ragged fringed.
This year there are perhaps as many as one hundred plants that we have found so
far. I am now required to move them before I cut our trails or move the trails.

My woman, you did say it there!

I hear Tennesee is a beautiful state. I've never been there, yet.

This is what I saw yesterday. A;most 50 and I've never seen the western
prairie fringer orchids. I was delighted. They are federally endangered
I believe. Last year I saw the eastern ones, also federally listed. I
believe Iowa, the most biologically altered state in the entire US, is
the only state to have both species. I can't tell the difference.
