The plant is a puccoon...probably Lithospermum incisum??? (narrow leaf
puccoon).

I found this plant in an open somewhat wet meadow in
southeastern Wisconsin. It is about a foot tall, with
flowers in a clump about a foot wide. I think the flowers
might be a bit more orange than the photos indicate.
I didn't find it in a cursory glance through my usual
references at home, so I thought I'd ask here.
