Glenn,
Got your message off the list. Could you give a little more background
info? Why aren't the Hills protected? Is it all public land, and if so,
does ARASCO have a contract with the state? I am just trying to
understand how this all came about.
Sounds like you need to talk with Natural Resources Defense Council(
NRDC). They could possibly be of legal assistance and help apply
pressure. I met Johanna Wald at the Society of Ecological Restoration
Conference last Sept. She works out of their San Fran office.
I encourage you to call and would certainly like to know more about this
