Dear MJ:

Thanks for inquiring about the upcoming Central States meeting.
Absolutely,  the meeting is for one and all!  Please spread the word!  A
number of invited speakers have broad appeal including Leon Higley (Univ.
of Nebraska) who will speak on the endangered Salt Marsh Tiger Beetle, Roy
Beckemeyer (Wichita, Kansas) who will speak on dragonfly and damselfly
diversity in the plains, and Jan Weaver (Univ. of Missouri) who will speak
on biodiversity studies in the Missouri Ozarks.   Our keynote speaker will
be Steve Buchmann who works on conservation of native pollinators--he'll be
a great speaker.  This will be a great conference for folks who have an
interest in insects, so please come!

I am still
building the website, but the basic information is here.  I'll be adding
more info soon, particularly about lodging.  There are a several
inexpensive hotels/motels in Lincoln, and I will put this info on-line.

I am leaving town tomorrow for 3 weeks, but when I return I'll be working
more on the web site.  I'll let you know when I have updated it.
