Blackburn Press would like to announce the reprinting of three classics of
ecology and wildlife management literature.

*	Analysis of Vertebrate Populations by Graeme Caughley (ISBN
1-930665210), was first published in 1977 and is well known to ecologists
and wildlife managers everywhere as a groundbreaking classic. The book shows
how population analysis can be applied to practical problems of wildlife
management.

*	Dynamics of Large Mammal Populations, edited by Charles W. Fowler
and Tim D. Smith (ISBN 1-930665-27-X) and first published in 1981, was
written by experts from four continents and six countries. It is a
collection of papers on the population dynamics of large mammals and helped
provide identity and coherence to an emerging field. Population biologists,
wildlife biologists and managers, government researchers, environmentalists,
and marine mammal scientists can use the information made available here as
a basis for comparative research and practical applications.

*	The George Reserve Deer Herd by Dale R. McCullough (ISBN
1-930665-44-x) is a classic in the fields of wildlife biology and management
and offers important techniques and philosophical perspectives on large
animal population ecology. The growth of the deer population in the George
Reserve in Michigan became a landmark in wildlife management after six
white-tailed deer introduced to the Reserve in 1928 increased to 160 deer
six years later. McCullough's studies centered on the relationship of
population density to birth and survival of offspring.
