Dear Robert,
The Mcmillan quote I posted was used by a friend of mines (a french botanist
and pharmacologist) in his introduction of a book about threaten ecosystems
over the world.
He told me once that McMillan is one of the most famous american
ornithologist of late XIX° and early XX° centuries. He was also a pionneer in
the field of nature preservation and ecology.
The quote I have is the french translation that I did translate back to
english (my own way) for the purpose of my post.
What I am looking for is McMillan original words (in english). I have
unfortunately no idea of which book or paper it may come from.
Many thanks for you interest,
Cheers,
Luc
