Hello All.
Reason suggests its okay, but...
Is it okay to seed an area in the fall or early winter if you know you are going to burn the area in the spring? I would like to seed in the fall to ensure proper stratification. I also assume frost action will work the seed into the soil, providing good contact for germination and protection from fire. Is this correct? Should I be concerned that rodents and birds will be given more opportunity to eat the seed over winter?
Thank you for your help.
