John and others,

You should be able to get 50lb bag for under 40.00............say around
35.00 now I don't DON"T THINK plants care what the source of nitrogen and
organic fert are expensive. I can get a 50lb of triple 15 for about 9
dollars and urea46%N is pretty cheap too.

I like blood meal and should call around to farm supplies or feed stores.
If not let me know and I bring a bag to EG.

Other natural sources of N are feathermeal, cottonseed meal, chilean nitrate

Hoof and horn meal this one repels gophers they don't like it ,it is very
slow release.............all those are cheaper than bloodmeal. I use a
combo of organic and synthetic in my patches.

Vickie gives me a small allowance and I have to get more bang for my bucks.
