WPC payoff
List,
I'm a bit confused on the prize money that has everyone in an
uproar!! If you are a member of the WPC and weigh-off at a WPC site, are
you entitled to the grand prize of $ 25,000?? Or do you have to go to
Clarence with the fruit to get it and weigh it in there??? If you don't
bring your fruit to Clarence and weigh it at a different WPC site are
you then eligible for some sort of grand prize sponsored by the WPC???
Don't all WPC sites pay a fee to the WPC organization?
In contrast doesn't all GPC sites pay a fee. ( $500) to the GPC
organization and then no matter where you weigh-in, if it's big enough
,you qualify for prizes sponsored by the whole Organization???
Something like the top 20 pumpkins in the world for the GPC get some
sort of money for each placing ...besides the
watermellons...tomatoes.... and cantelope...and squash....
My thought is wouldn't the WPC organization be better served if this
large amount of prize money were split up and distributed throughtout
all the WPC weigh-off sites....so no matter where you weighed you could
get a piece of the pie...so to speak.....
Seems like the WPC is only concerned about it's Clarence weigh-off
site and kinda leave the rest to fend for themselves... If this is the
case why would these other WPC sites stay with the WPC
Organization....Just my thoughts.....any comments that would help me
sort this out would be greatly appreciated..Thanks
