Genetics blasted in NZ
When we blasted the seeds, we gave up on the genetics. The
seeds were all from pumpkins left after the show and we did not know the
genetics anyway. The festival is at the stage where instead of us giving out
lots of seeds , growers keep their own from the previous year and pass them
around. This year we only had 150 registered growers but many more people
turned up with pumpkins that we did not know about. This is a good thing and
shows that the word is getting about and the pumpkin force is gathering its
own momentum.
