RE: Soil Heating Cables Put To The Test

George: Looks like it's that time of year again, maybe things will work out
a little better for us this year? lost all my tomatoes due to the heater
croaking in one of my hot boxes, I would like to for once get tomatoes
before August! and yes I know what your secret is!! "Wall-o-Water"
This years AG selections are
The Geerts 946.5
and the extremely rare Weir 1090

Subject: Soil Heating Cables Put To The Test

Planted my pumpkins the Direct Start Method with Soil Heating Cables in the
mounds. The forecast was for a decent week coming up with maybe a shower a
day or two. So much for that!

Weather following the planting.

4/16 Mostly Cloudy with showers 58/73.

4/17 Cloudy late day Snow/Sleet Showers 42/52

4/18 Cloudy Showers 38/47 Cold Wind off the icy Atlantic

4/19 Cloudy Rain .35 39/43

Not what you would call ideal germination weather.

Results

AG-803.5-AE-99 (Al Eaton) Broke Ground in four days.

AG-560-98-GB (The Living Dead) Broke Ground in 5 days.

Not bad!

Some sun today, but rain for the next 3 days then the weather should break.
Well, back to planting my Tomatoes (have a special method for that too).
