Re: the GPC
Ouch! So am I hearing that Austin,MN was turned down for a site? This is
really too bad. The people of SE MN just wanted a place to go that is close
to home. What people do not "get" is that most of us are not in it for the
big $$$....I think there should be a GPC site close to everyone's home! We
just want to take out pumpkin to an official weighoff site get weighed so
that it "counts" for the World Record and then go home...no more than 1/2
day....Our Spouses and children have had it with pumpkins by this weighoff
and will not give us more than that. Driving to Anamosa is not the answer
we wanted. I guess we will be "unofficial" again this year in Austin, MN.
Too bad...we do grow some nice pumpkins here....and from what I heard from
other MN growers...if they do take it somewhere....Nekoosa is now the spot.
