here in ny i start my seeds indoors after they sprout i have a few days
to get them outside incase of drastic weather changes you know the usual
cold snap ,flood ,ect.but my friend ed puts heating cables in the ground
black plastic over the area he plans on starting his seeds and then uses
a cold frame for added heat  it sounds like you don't need to go to our
short season extreames but if i had some hot seeds i would start them
inside just so i could control more of weather conditions for
germination deb
