Re: Humates
ok, info on humates.
I had heard about humates a couple of years back and read something in a
ornamentals growers magazine that they were a natural growth stimulant
(humic, fulvic acids etc), so the hunt began for a supplier for this years
AG's.

From what I have found out, I believe it may have a similar affect to
seaweed. I can't get the dry stuff here, neither the products on this link,
they are being launched here 2001/2002 - after pumpkin time. Undeterred I
contacted the co. again and managed to get some end of line agricultural
stuff, it's in transit right now. They are sending me four different
formulations one with N, one plain and some others, but I'm not sure which.
I am getting a gallon of each (1 gal per acre the guy said as its extra
concentrated, so they should last me a while). I gather that you already
have these products your side of the pond so have you been successful and do
you think I should use them instead of or as well as liquid seaweed? I plan
to drench and spray them.
that's all for now
Chris
