Potato bug

Hi Guys! Just got in from the patch, where I smashed a Jerusalem cricket
or potato bug. Was that right or wrong?
I found another of Glenn's cousins - short, fat, segmented and sluggish
- and gave chase but he got away from the spade, I think.
A pair of heavy hitters from Canada visit the patch daily and raise
quite a squawk, as much racket as would an entire flock. I don't mind as
long as in their heavy hitting they hit the patch and not me. They're a
good omen, what?
So far I and the trusty spade have managed to cultivate a 5-foot by
22-foot patch. Where are Shellie and the tractor when I need them?
Shellie? Still, doing it this way will certainly prepare me for albacore
season, which better not conflict with weighoff season this year or
Kevin Smith and I are both in deep fish emulsion. Back to the patch!
Kathie
