few seeds in pumpkins

Yo List,
Last week I put in a post about lack of phosphate being one reason
for seeds not being pollinated in the fruit.Glenn Andrews said he did not
agree as we all put enough phosphates in so there should not be a shortage.
Well today I read another bit of info. This says that if too much iron is
present in the ground it will lead to a deficiency of phosphate by tying up
the usable phosphates. Ironite, if over fertilized would put too much iron
in the ground and do the same thing. Any comment Glenn, Larry and Alan?

 ALUN
