Re: Seeds
Kathie
Hey, that sounds really interesting....i wouldn't mind being one of the 50
growers growing the same seed. that would be really cool to see the results.
The only problem would be...which pumpkin? i would suspect it to be a 2001
pumpkin with good genetics. Hey, i would let my planned 825.5 Shymanski x
876.5 Lloyd cross for this year be the pumpkin!! Of course i still have to
germinate those seeds and make the cross yet. Anyone think that could be a
good cross? I really have high hopes for it after seeing the 801.5 stelts x
876.5 lloyd=846 Calai, producing big ones it's first year. But i bet alot of
people wouldn't mind have one of their 2001 pumpkins grown by 50 growers in
2002?!??
I think this experiment should be done regardless if it is my 2001 pumpkin
or not....lol. I would think if you could get the heavy hitters to do this
that a 1000 lber would come out of that seed(whatever seed it is), or
atleast a really big one.
