Aussie Report
The growing season in Australia has just finished, and a new Australian
Record was set, a pumpkin weighing 629 lb (286kgs) grown by Ken and
Rosemary Holden of South Australia. A sunflower record was also set - 5
metres (that's about 15 feet) by Paul Latham of Victoria.
As well as growing Atlantic Giants next summer, I am hoping to grow many
types of pumpkins from across the world, not commonly grown in Australia
(ie. Queensland Blue, Ironbark, Butternut, Jarrahdale etc), and am
interested in swapping some Queensland Blue pumpkin seeds for other (non
Atlantic Giant) pumpkin seeds not commonly grown in Australia.
If you are interested please email me direct atlantic@alphalink.com.au
