Kathie,
If your seedling has more than 1 true leaf, you need to get it in as soon as
possible, Maybe you could prepare just the immediate area, say, 6 feet in
diameter, your hill. That might buy you some time to get the rest of the
area done surrounding it. Also, I don't highly suggest this but if its in a
small pot, Maybe you could carefully transplant it to something bigger,
again this will only buy a short amount of time. These are just some ideas,
maybe somebody with a little more experience than me can help.
