RE: Report from the field
Report from the germination table.
11 Seedlings started Tuesday evening.
10 germinated Saturday and Sunday.
All planted on their sides and came up cleanly with no seed coats.
Cotyledons look great. First up 850.5 Hester 99. Ahead of the others
by about 12 hours. Still waiting on the seed from the self pollinated
827 Holland, or ??? Wilson ??. The 862.5 Hester 99* is the last up
of those germinating, but appears to be coming up cleanly.
Maybe something else is going on with those seedlings that look
bad. Did you use seed starting mix or garden soil? In any case they
could still do well for you. give them some love and they may recover.
My 563 Geerts last year was a pathetic little thing but took of when it
hit the patch.
