Dear List:
My seeds have germinated and are doing well and I
did the final patch preparations and am ready to plant. I decided to dig a
pit at the site of planting and amend the soil etc. and have decided to use a
soaker hose this year. I thought I would wind the house at the bottom of
my pit and then let it travel up the main vine path and around my
patch. All of a sudden it has hit me that maybe this would create to much
moisture at the base of the stump and do it more harm than good. Would I
be better off to keep the hose on top of the ground close to the stump or is it
ok to bury it in the pit. Help! With warm weather in sight I will be
ready to plant any day now. Thanks for your help.
