948 Hebb: pumpkin thrower or squash thrower?

I ordered two 923 Ciliberto seeds from Howard Dill but
they were sold out and sent me 2 948 Hebbs. The
female plant was a 990 Hebb '00 which was a green
squash plant and the male was a 818 Hebb '99.

My first question is how did a green squash plant
produce a pumpkin with no green on it?

Second, will seeds from the Hebb 948 most likely
produce pumpkins or "'tweeners"?

I don't think I want to grow something with squash so
close in the genetic family. If anyone wants to trade
2 seeds for these two I will pay for the postage.
