Your soil sounds similar to mine. (high ph, low calcium) Best
material to add to increase calcium in high ph soils is gypsum.
This will also add sulfer but will not affect your ph.
Application rates should be determined by soil test but it
should be safe to add 10 pounds per 100 square feet if your
soil is clay.
You also might consider adding about one - two pounds of soil
sulfer per 100 square feet to lower your ph a tad.
