Twins
Hi list.
My patch this year will consist of:
1. Bobbie 1025 ow;
2. Need ham 1064.5;
3. Wolf 535*; and
4. Papez 1020.
When I put the Papez 1020 in my germination chamber ("Oven"), I selected
a good fat one. When it sprouted this morning, I noticed a root coming
out of the side of the seed coat. I pulled the seed off of the leaves
and there were 4 leaves, instead of 2. Later, as they opened, I was
able to pull a twin plant out from between the 2 larger leaves. It had
a 2 inch long root and 2 smaller leaves. I planted it in another pot
and although it is a little runty looking, it is starting to green up.
Has anyone had this happen? Do you think this is a real twin?
