Re: Chicken manure....Good or No?

Wow, does he deliver to Idaho? ;-)

I'm trying to get all the manure I can, but it's one
pickup load at a time with my own arms and back doing
the labor.

As for chicken manure, I'd have only one reservation,
and it's a slight one... "How old, or broken down is
it?". It can be a litte hot (I've heard...) but at the
very least I'd have him pile it up in a corner, and save it for the future if you're not sure.

Regards, Cliff

I just had a farmer friend stop by and offer too give give a truck load of
Chicken Manure for my new pumpkin patch. He said it would help increase
growth.

Anyone on this list used it before? My friend is a successful farmer, but
he grows commercial crops of corn, soybeans, etc.

Please let me know what you think. I need to say NO early on, before he
makes all the arrangements. Thanks,
Amelia Painter
