new to the game

Hello all,
I am new to this list and have had some sucess on my first pumpkin attempt
last year.
I grew one that went 540# on the co op scales. I arrainged to have it
donated to a local junior sports program and it was used as a 'guess the
weight' attraction at a local Lowe's. it brought in over $350.
My question is, I want to do the same thing this year, but I need a good
seed source.
I don't know if my seed is any good. It may have been too close to a
zucinni.
I had purchased the starter plant at the Clackamas county fair grounds, at
the Master Gardener show, in Canby Or.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Randy
