I have tilled in over 700 lbs of Bluefin Tuna Stakes in a single 500 sqft
Plot (Freezer malfunction) and MANY other times have put Carcasses and entrails
in the patch. Now if these are bass and trout no problem dig either a trench
or a few pits one foot deep about 10 feet from the mound and bury it !! now if
this is Yellowfin of Bluefin tuna like I have you defiantly have to do more
work and get it much deeper..
When I put in the 700 lbs I was refilling a smaller pit that year 6ft x 4ft
x 12ft and I put allot of that in with the amendments and then I dug little
two foot pits all around the patch and buried the rest !!! What a fun warm
seprise when you found one of these pits with your hand or knee when burying
vines...YUMMY ......
There are lots of things you don't want in your patch like Giant Squid
.... What a mistake !!!
But I think you will be OK with the guts they will warm up the soil but in
doing so will release Methane gas and carbon dioxide ... No worry very small
amounts .. Get it in and get it in Quick pumpkin season is right on our horizon
