Dead or at least dying.
I think it is over for this site. Death was due to too much manure in the
form of chit chat and too much competition from other sites with different
formats. I started here and certainly got a lot of help over the years. Now there
are other sites which are competing and which offer information as good as and
in many cases better than what has recently been seen here. It is too bad but
then again life goes on. I feel sorry it has come to this but the reality is
that there are now sites such as Bigpumpkins.com which are more geared to grower
problems and specific questions with answers. The format here is simply not
as good in that information is more difficult to locate and often is
incomplete. Some of the growers that were once here have gone, probably out of
exhaustion, after seeing the same question come up over and over again. "How does milk
help a pumpkin grow and how much should I give and how should I apply it? And
should I use low fat milk?" It would be nice if there was a comeback and it is
possible but I think not likely. For those remaining, have a good growing
season. WIth the right seed and the right conditions and a little luck, this
could be your year. Watch out for the groundhogs!!!
