Your AG list
For interested AG pumpkin growers,especially those who may be newcomers to
this list,you may be able to see a list of the top official fruit every
grown in you state or province at---------- www.ipgs.ws.
Comments:
1.Alberta is a province with a long time weigh-off at Smoky Lake,many good
growers and a claim to the most northerly major site in the world.It is also
one of the very few provinces where nobody has taken the time to proudly
display their top pumpkins on the above list.(even tiny PEI does a super job
on this---right Bill?)
So here is a small project for someone in Alberta,no applications
necessary,little work,no pay,but ample rewards.
All the info is available but it is just has to be put together and
emailed.It does not have to be absolutely correct,if that is a worry,once
established it can be easily updated if new information comes in and once
established it is relatively easy to update each winter.
2.Also the last time I looked at www.ipga.ws the states of MA,CT and WV were
showing no updates for the 2003 season.Hopefully they will appear soon.
3.The top 10 lists by region should help give all growers encouragement
within a climatic region somewhat similar to their own.It is not so
important what the world record is each year as how well we do within our
own ballpark,the top 10 list is a high,but realistic,goal for everyone.
