Re: soil test help


That's the best looking soil report I've seen in a long time. 
Let me make a few comments on it.  

The high CEC value means that your soil can hang on to more
nutriants than lower CEC soils so I wouldn't worry about the
surplus P, K and Mg.  Your K, Ca and Mg are in almost perfect
balance with K just under the ideal range. and Mg and Ca at the
top of the ideal range.  The ideal base saturation is K: 5%-7%,
Mg: 10%-15% and Ca: 70%-80%

If you wanted to try to fine tune the catonic balance you could
add 1 pound per 200 square feet of wood ash or sulfate of
potash.  Go easy on this stuff as you can hurt the soil with
too much.  Also keep in mind, that every year you need to add
some organic matter to keep the OM reading high.
