Re: Pumpkin growing Question

I do use heating cables I get from charley's greenhouse...40ft. Might have to have your circuit when connecting them all into the house ;-).
I just start the insecticide and fungicide mid- May > June....regardless if I see anything. The cuke beetles are normally around and no matter what the "fight is on" and good to keep them down to start with.
I'm not sure on the vine yellowing and dying...maybe root rot...but I just don't know. sorry.
I would try a different spot for sure or as I mentioned dig up a good bit of the hole and replace it.
Good luck.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. How are you keeping your plants warm? Question about
the insecticide and fungicide, are you using them on an as needed basis?
Have you heard about mixing anything into the soil before hand? I'm a
little scared about planting in the same area or do you think I should move
the hole away from the last one a little ways. I can't seem to find anyone
to tell me what was the cause of the vine yellowing. Thanks for your
troubles, Jim
