Debbie,
I've been using the drip tape from Dripworks based on some guidance from
Matt DeBacco at Team Pumpkin. It worked well last year. I don't know how it
compares expense wise to other irrigation systems. I think it is a fairly
efficient way to get a lot of water spread out evenly, which is important if
your water is metered. However in a hot climate a separate fine-misting
system is needed. So for expense sake it might be better to go with a
sprinkler system. If you go on BigPumpkins.com, Pete Mohr's diary from last
year shows his sprinklers and Matt Debacco's shows the drip tape set up.
Also teamp-pumpkin.org shows drip tape setup.
