Hi. I have only been on the mailing list for about a month. Although I have
learned some things from it, am disappointed to also learn that some people
(who apparently have more money than I at their disposal) also have a
complete lack of tolerance for those of us may not be able to afford to have
the latest and best of everything, just so we can keep up with the rest of
you. I think computers and the internet are wonderful things and I thought
they helped to put everyone on the same level, regardless of their position
in life, but I guess that idea was foolish of me to have. I suppose it
doesn't matter what you're doing -- money is power, and if you can't keep up
with the Jones', they expect you to step aside because, heaven to Betsy, you
shouldn't get in their way! What ever happened to having a little patience
and the willingness to understand that people simply do the best they can
with what they've got? I appreciate and agree with Chris Andersen's and Troy
Nayler's accomodating attitudes and ideas.
I expect I'd also be classified as one of those with "dinosaur equipment,"
and since I might inconvenience or slow someone down, I think, for now, I'll
get off the list. Besides, I need to spend less time reading e-mails that I
don't learn anything from, and more time trying to earn more money so I can
keep up with some of you.
